Our Story

About twelve years ago, my daughter Jamie and I sat down and started tossing around a simple idea: recovery from surgery didn’t have to feel so clinical or lonely. What if you could send someone a little laughter, a few thoughtful—and slightly ridiculous—surprises, and a reminder that someone was thinking of them? We sketched out ideas, laughed over the possibilities, and imagined how much fun it would be to bring them to life.

Jamie passed away before we had the chance to turn those ideas into a real company.

In 2026, our family decided it was time. We pulled out the old notes, dusted them off, and started building. That July, Jamie’s fun, lighthearted vision became SurgicalSweet™—a Utah family business with a simple purpose: helping people feel loved, supported, and a little less alone through gifts that make them smile.

Today, we build on her original spark every day. Our collection has grown to include surgery and recovery gift kits, smaller mini kits, Campus Critical Care packages, Peri-Pause kits, and a growing assortment of funny mugs and seasonal gifts. Whether someone is recovering on the couch, navigating college life, riding the hormonal roller coaster, or just having one of those days, we believe there’s room for a little sweetness and a well-timed laugh.

Every kit we put together and every new design we dream up carries a little of that early brainstorming energy: thoughtful touches, a playful sense of humor, and the joy of letting someone know, “I’m thinking of you.” Our collection keeps growing, and we’re having an absolute blast finding new ways to brighten someone’s day.
